about this snack
This is one of our nutritionist's health stars, a pure mix of pecans, brazil nuts, almonds and redskin peanuts with nothing else added. If you're in need of a crunchy, nutty, nourishing snack break, this is the one for you.
what are the benefits?
We could write a book on why this snack is so good for you but we'll keep it short. They contain the mineral thiamin, otherwise known as vitamin B1 which helps keep your heart functioning normally, and vitamin E which protects your cells from oxidative stress.
But that's not all! Heart healthy nuts are also high in copper, manganese and selenium, nutrients that work together to support your metabolism and immune system.
Our nutritionist Jess recommends enjoying a portion of nuts everyday, as they are such a handy way to get in healthy fats, essential vitamins and minerals, and they contain protein which will help your body to build muscle.
how should you eat it?
When you get mid-morning tummy rumbles, this healthy snack is a great way to re-energise and refuel until lunch. We love to sprinkle heart healthy nuts over salads or make some overnight oats and add these into the mix. Or mix it into greek yoghurt and drizzle with some honey - basically add them to whatever you fancy!
