about this snack
Think of your favourite flapjack and give it a protein boost. This recipe is made with deliciously nutritious ingredients including linseeds, pumpkin seeds and sunflower seeds, as well as our innovative soy crispies, making it a tasty source of protein.
what are the benefits?
Our nutritionist Jess recommends getting enough protein everyday to help maintain healthy muscle growth. Protein is a vital part of a balanced diet for everyone, not just for the body builders! When you increase your overall muscle mass, it means that your metabolism speeds up which makes you a better calorie burner.
Our taste expert have added soya protein crispies to our classic flapjack recipe, a simple blend of soy protein, rice flour, malt extract and a touch of salt. This is blended and then puffed in a similar way to rice crispies and makes these flapjacks a delicious source of protein.
The linseeds, sunflower seeds and pumpkin seeds added to the mixture make this flapjack a powerhouse of essential minerals, fibre and protein.
what makes it taste so good?
Our flapjacks are made in the Cotswolds by the White family from their own 30-year-old recipe. These oaty delights are hand baked in small batches so the rustic rolled oats aren't damaged, to make a flapjack that provides a source of fibre and tastes genuinely homemade.
